Bhavana was just amazing!! She took my bridal mehndi and my mehndi celebration to a completely different level, and rapidly became one of the highlights of the entire wedding weekend. My guests could not stop talking about how amazing she was and how amazing my henna was. She freely worked additional hours even though she did not have to in order to accommodate our requests, and she was incredibly pleasant. Clearly a good human in addition to being a brilliant artist. Bhavna just did my henna this past Labor Day weekend for 8 hours! Not only is Bhavna the best artist in the DC area (substantiated through all her pics and how meticulous and detail oriented she is), she's also a great person. Bhavna got to my house bright and early and got to work right away. I'm not sure where the time went but the entire mehndi process was so relaxing and almost meditative. Bhavna has a very calming energy about her and it felt as if we were just good friends chatting for 8 hours. But not just that, through out the day Bhavna went out of her way to make sure I was taken care of since I couldn't use my hands. My mom had a stroke and she's unable to do certain things and Bhavna ended up making me breakfast, feeding me, even helping me with the bathroom! lol. Not just that, the next day I needed an artist at my Sangeet as one of my artists was unreliable last minute. Bhavna came through for us and even fit us in though she had another Sangeet. Seriously the best experience ever. I highly recommend Bhavna to anyone looking for amazing henna! Thank you Bhavna!

Bhavna is an extremely talented artist with a fine attention to detail. She did my wedding mehndi (henna tattoo), and came highly recommended from several of my other wedding vendors. Several months before the wedding we sat down together and built a design, based on the mutual interests and inside jokes of my husband and me. She has several books filled with design elements and samples, which I looked through to assemble my design. She was very thorough in building my design, and even helped by making suggestions of her own. After our meeting she emailed me a hand-drawn draft of the design and was amenable to the small edits that I requested.
During the wedding planning process, she also helped me by suggesting other vendors with whom I should speak, as well as online jewelry stores I should explore. When my mother and I went shopping in India for my wedding outfits, she gave us some shopping contacts. When I began helping my cousin make wedding plans in Dallas, TX, Bhavna also sent me a list of wedding planners and vendors to help my cousin, even though she was in a different city. She is a very helpful and kind person.
As soon as she arrived for my wedding mehndi, she had a very calming effect on the room. Everyone at my mehndi agreed that Bhavna has a very soothing presence, and that she is very easy to talk to, even while creating such intricate and difficult designs. My mehndi took 7 hours to complete. We hardly noticed though, because we easily chatted and joked the entire time. After completing my bridal mehndi, she was still energetic enough to do 20 more of my friends and relatives! Even my mother, the toughest of critics, was extremely pleased with her speed and delicate designs.
Bhavna is consistently a finalist in national henna competitions, and now I know why. My wedding mehndi was splendid. I received a million compliments on it. She did not disappoint me. I would recommend that you contact her for any of your own henna events!

Bhavna was a true pleasure to work with! To start with, she is timely, professional and very kind. We chatted for hours (4 to be exact) as she did my mehendi the night before my mehendi party. Her after care instructions were clear and manageable, the balm she provided was hydrating and protective and her work is truly art. At my consult we spent hours going through designs and creating a custom look for me. I had no idea that I had an opinion on mehendi until she showed me the wide variety of designs she has done in the past. We created something new for me and on the day of, it came out great! Everyone at my wedding commented on my mehendi, people had not seen such fine, detailed work. She even layered designs! For example, she would do a small area of a grid and then over that she layered a different pattern of leaves. I was stunned and her manual dexterity and kind nature. Do yourself a favor and work with Bhavna, you will not be disappointed!
